Retired. Jeff Gorball was most recently a Managing Director at Kingland Systems Corporation, responsible for the consulting practice around data management maturity (DMM) supporting Kingland's clients and internal process management. Mr. Gorball introduced the concept of a data management maturity model to the strategic partnership that ultimately developed the DMM Model. He was on the DMM working group since its inception, becoming the first non-CMMI Institute member to obtain accreditation on the Model by the CMMI Institute (steward of the DMM Model) to consult on and conduct workshops on the Model. Mr. Gorball was also certified on the Enterprise Data Management Council's Data Management Capability Assessment Model (DCAM), the first person in the world for that dual certification, and certified by the EDM Council to provide DCAM training.Mr. Gorball also served as the company’s chief security officer and was responsible for company-wide improvements in the area of process management across all business units, driving Kingland’s CMMI maturity ratings and process improvement. Before those assignments he was responsible for managing the Kingland Data Solutions business providing corporate entity and financial securities data to the largest global audit firms for use in regulatory compliance. He has also served as the Sr. Vice President of Operations, managing data center services supporting global audit and financial firm clients. Mr. Gorball has more than 40 years of experience providing mission-critical technical services, including high-availability data and communication centers, systems, and facilities. Prior to joining Kingland Systems, Mr. Gorball retired from the Marine Corps after 24 years of active service in the communications field.
