In this position, I was in charge of leading two teams, the Zimmer Biomet global design controls team and medical case and tray development team. The global design controls team authors the Zimmer Biomet design controls procedures, representing the design controls system in audits for our internal and external partners, and implementing key development improvement projects to continue to innovate our design controls process and address key updates in regulations like MDR.The medical case and tray development team supports the development of reusable instrument cases and trays for various products throughout the Zimmer Biomet organization. This team maintains design history files, creates case and bracket designs as needed for each project, and works with suppliers to manufacture the cases on a timeline that aligns with the internal customer's timeline.

In this position, I was in charge of authoring the Zimmer Biomet risk management procedures, leading risk management audits for our internal and external partners, and implementing key risk improvement projects such as MDR and ISO 14971:2019 implementation.

In this role, I remediated the inspection criteria for every hip arthroplasty device in Zimmer's portfolio, harmonizing CTQs and inspections.
