I began working with 1220 Exhibits again on a freelance basis at The Dalton Discovery Center/Conservatory in Naples, Florida and The Greenwood Rising Museum in Tulsa, Oklahoma from March through October 2021 and was rehired full time in November 2021.

During this time period I worked with Delatorre Art Design on multiple animal habitats within the International Herpetology Center at the Knoxville Zoo and also at the Nashville Zoo, leading a small crew on multiple projects including installation, refurbishment and maintenance of zoo properties, signage, and animal habitats.

My responsibilities as production manager at The Escape Game involved the oversight of a rapid business expansion from a 12 person production shop in a 6000 sqft. facility to a 30+ person operation in a 24,000 sqft. facility. I created the shop layout for the new facility to maximize production efficiencies, as well as implementing and monitoring day to day shop processes, vendor relationships, material purchasing, project budgeting, time tracking and production queues. I also contributed to general troubleshooting, managing the printshop operation, new game development, scenic artistry and making design improvements to game components and shop production drawings.

I worked with Delatorre Art Design on the Andean Spectacled Bear Habitat at the Nashville Zoo. Scenic Sculpting and Painting of Fabricated Trees, Rocks and other scenery within the exhibit areas.

My responsibilities as technical director at Gary Musick Productions included oversight of a 1+ million dollar operation specializing in set design and construction, marketing activations, scenic fabrication and prop rentals for corporate and public events. I was also responsible for all inventory management, vendor relationships, material purchasing and budgeting of all custom builds within the scenic shop. I also used SketchUp and other digital design tools on a daily basis for the creation of stage and prop renderings and shop production drawings.

I worked for 1220 Exhibits on several projects as a freelance scenic artist prior to being hired full time to establish and lead a new in-house scenic department.As head of this department, my initial duties were to develop the shop infrastructure, tooling, staffing and scenic administration procedures. My daily duties included working closely with our estimating, technical, accounting, project management, production and executive personnel to develop scenic proposals and bids for museum exhibit projects. I also worked directly with clients and exhibit designers, planned production processes, selected and purchased materials, established budgets, work schedules and maintained tracking documents for all scenic projects. Working with the scenic staff, I oversaw and executed the fabrication and installation of all scenic exhibit components to insure timely completion and quality workmanship.Client include: The Chattahoochee Nature Center, The Wings of Liberty Museum, The North Carolina Museum of History, The Crayola Experience, The National Civil Rights Museum and The Country Music Hall of Fame.

I worked with this company to design, build and paint the stage set props and backdrop for the 2009 Children's Opera outreach program performance of the Magic Flute.

I worked for this company overseeing the fabrication, production and installation of interior thematic elements for restaurants and night clubs.Clients include: Several venues at KC Live! in Kansas City, MO, The Blue Moon Piano Bar and Restaurant in West DeMoines, IA and the restoration of the Jungle Gym Animals at the Nashville Zoo, Nashville, TN.

I worked as a freelance scenic artist exclusively for this company during 2006 and 2007, and for several years prior on a project by project basis. Most of my projects involved the creation of 3-D sculptural components for Children's Museums.Clients include: The Atlanta Children's Museum, The Indianapolis Children's Museum, The Strong Museum, 4-H International, Blue Bunny and the Heller Nature Center.

I worked for this company on a project to project basis from 1998 to 2005. Projects were primarily Zoo/Aquarium Habitats. My responsibilities included the creation of design drawings, presentation models, overseeing shop and installation crews as well as hands-on sculpting and painting of exhibit components.Projects include: The Polar Bear and Manatee Habitats at the Cincinnati Zoo, The Meerkat Habitat at the Nashville Zoo, The Lorikeet Aviary at The Louisville Zoo and the Pirate Shipwreck at Harrah's Casino in New Orleans, LA.

I worked for this company as Lead Scenic Artist overseeing the onsite installation of sculpted concrete rock work and other scenic elements at the Kentucky Music Museum and Hall of Fame. Renfro Valley, KY.

I worked for this company sculpting and painting concrete rockwork, earthworks and aquarium scenery as part of a small team of scenic artists hired to assist with the timely completion of The Aquarium of the Smokies. Gatlinburg, TN.

Tall Stacks was a weeklong riverboat heritage event held in intermittent years on the Cincinnati Riverfront. I worked for this company for approximately 4 to 6 months each year it was produced in 1992, 1995 and 1999. My responsibilities included overseeing the warehouse/shop operations, designing and building new exhibits, refurbishing older exhibits, inventory, purchasing and installation/strike of all event properties.

My work with this company involved the detailed sculptural repair and painting of fine art and collectable objects including pottery, furniture and ornate frames.

I worked as a co-op student/graphic designer in the Industrial Products Division of Welch Allyn bi-quarterly during these years. My projects included the design and building of an interactive trade show exhibit to demonstrate fiber optic technology, as well as the design of software packaging (FACTRAC), copywriting and illustration for bar code scanner and decoder equipment product literature.
