About Jeff Guthrie

Looking for a role as an ITIL/ITSM Process Specialist. While most of my 20+ years in Information Technology has been in Telecommunications, I have spent the last 5 years focusing on ITSM Process Engineering & Automation. In my last two years as a Telecom Manager, I was able to implement much of what I learned resulting in significant improvements in system stability, improved customer service and satisfaction, and decreased MTTR averages. These practices were soon adopted by our Internal Helpdesk to improve their customer service and satisfaction scores.My knowledge of ITSM Processes and understanding of customer needs led to my role as the Jira Service Management workstream lead as part of our larger Technology Transformation initiative. My primary object was to bring together and balance the needs of the customer, capabilities of the application, and governance requirements from the ITSM Process Owners and CIS Controls. This involved developing all new processes as well as deploying automated chatbots and other automations to provide a user-friendly end-to-end solution that also improved operational support capabilities and reduced MTTR times.As our Technology Transformation project is coming to a close, I am looking forward to finding a longer-term position as an ITSM Manager or Process Engineer developing and improving ITSM processes.
