Responsible for 8 technicianas to perform repair and maintenance in 279 Guestrooms, 15 Suites, 11,000 sft of meeting space, one restaurant, lobby, with pool and spa, and one 3 story parking structure. I managed the emergency preparedness plans and worked closely with my executive team to maintain hotel operations and managed Capital Planning to determine asset conditions and managed the replacements projects for the hotel ownership group with my executive team. Coordinated closely with Ventura City and County inspectors and regulation authorities, Coastal Commission, California Transit Authorities, Nation Park Authorities to ensure the safety and security of building operations. Upon arrival we were impacted with flooding during rains washing out elevator shaft bottoms causing major flooding within the building due to rain water backing up in storm drains involving each of the aforementioned authorities to clear the drainage system. I built the CAPEX plan to resolve the power distribution problems, vetting and coordinating contractor support to improve reliability on normal and emergency power which improve the quality of the power factor rating of the building. All plans and actions significantly improved over all long term performance and reliability.Emergency Power Generator was undersized and burned up due to load demands. Evaluations of the electrical distribution system was performed and determined that we needed to increase the size of the generator to meet peak demands that exceeded 100% of the existing generator load. This evaluation study also showed electrical lines from the main to sub panels were undersized with the distance causing multiple pieces of equipment to burn out early such as ballasts and compressors in refrigeration system.Received an award for Excellent Emergency Management Response and Restoration at Ventura Beach Marriott

I established and developed the Northern California Cluster Engineering program for Marriott International in support of 21 Directly supported limited service properties and 5 outlying properties from Sacramento to Fresno California. Developed the maintenance program by acquiring all current asset information and designing the preventative maintenance requirements based on equipment type and location.During the asset identification we found multiple pieces of equipment installed that were not working at all. I planned and coordinated all major repair work to get our 21 building operating as it should be. Multiple exhaust fans, boilers, dehumidification units, HVAC systems, cooling towers, circulating pumps, commercial washers and dryers, walk-in refrigerators and freezers, plumbing above and underground, etc. needed major work to restore conditions throughout the facilitiesI helped plan and orchestrate all Capital planning with each of the General Managers, District Managers, and Ownership Groups with the Regional Engineering Directors support.I trained my technicians on how to perform the maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment were needed, and my technicians and I would work with the local Chief Engineers at these properties with their engineering staff to improve their knowledge and support of the facilities under their responsibilities.We would meet quarterly for team building activities and celebrate our successes which were well deserved with my immediate team and extended teams would meet simi-annual to celebrate their successes.
