Good Tech America was created to help develop and expand affordable technology solutions in communities across the United States. We partner with nonprofits and social enterprises to offer computer refurbishing, recycling and retail operations in an effort to improve access to and use of technology in disadvantaged communities.

Co-founder of the San Diego Futures Foundation (SDFF), a nonprofit provider of community technology solutions with a focus on helping nonprofits and bridging the digital divide.Raised more than $8 million in funding to support development and growth of the organization.Developed a computer refurbishing and distribution system resulting in the distribution of more than 31,000 computers to more than 1,000 nonprofits, 200 schools and 7,000 families.Designed and developed the San Diego Broadband Initiative (www.sdbroadband.org) resulting in the distribution of computers, software, training, low-cost Internet service and technical support to more than 20,000 San Diegans. Developed proposals and relationships with funders resulting in more than $3 million in funding to support the program.Developed the DiverseCity Tech program resulting in $200,000 in funding and education and employment opportunities for young adults.Developed contract services for nonprofits resulting in more than $2 million in unrestricted income.Implemented NetSuite ERP software resulting in savings of roughly $50,000 per year and improving SDFF’s accounting, reporting, and expansion capacity.Developed internal goal and objective tracking system to monitor, manage and measure performance.

Training Division Manager, Technology Integration Group (TIG); developed and managed the company’s Microsoft and Novell Certified training division; successfully designed, developed and implemented corporate and career certification and training programs with Microsoft and Novell software; trained more than 2,000 end-users in Microsoft and Novell network and mail systems; managed intern and job placement programs; hired and managed sales and instructor staff; responsible for $1.5million in sales; managed budget and P&L; designed and implemented all marketing efforts; delivered public and corporate presentations monthly; taught 3D graphics and animation courses as well as A+ technical training; developed and managed the company’s digital media sales division concentrating on advanced 3D game development systems; technical support engineer; sales.Microsoft Systems Engineer/MCP responsible for implementing, managing, upgrading network systems, software, servers, desktops etc.
