CurrentManaging the Cost Accounting and Fixed Asset teams in support of the global Operations, Inventory and Logistics groups. Responsible for analyzing and communicating relevant information and proposing methodologies to company management to help optimize the company’s costs of goods sold, and to ensure the proper valuation of accounting standard costs, inventories and fixed assets for purchased and manufactured products worldwide. • Filled a newly created global leadership position within Arthrex to develop and implement new processes and procedures to efficiently and effectively manage the cost control systems• Lead the activities related to development and organization of the company's costs system; involving analysis of the real cost of the products and their respective contribution margins• SAP ERP implementation lead for FTM and DTS (ensured a smooth and accurate conversion from legacy system as well as ensured functionality requirements were met not only for conversion but for future optimized state)• Worked cross-functionally to reduce the duration of the month-end close process (cut in half) • Developed, standardized and implemented:o a standardized method to analyze make vs. buy opportunities o definitions, measurements and reporting of cost improvement initiativeso Fixed Asset policy and manual o a standardized process to analyze workorder and purchase order variances to help understand the impact to the company’s P&L as well as future standard costso departmental financials and partnered with the various cost center “owners” to ensure they understood the financial impact of their group’s transactions as well as their controllable impact• Reengineered the budgeting and forecasting methodologies used to establish Direct Labor, Direct Machine and Factory Overhead rates to ensure the development of standard costs that reflect financial reality
