Colleagues describe him as "Professor Jeff Harris was a wonderful teacher, who was dedicated to the field and to the students. Within the MIE303 course, Jeff Harris did a wonderful job combining theory, fundamentals, application and design to provide a very relevant and useful overview of mechanical and thermal energy conversion systems. This was especially useful for an engineering course, where application and design are essential. He readily made himself available to us, ensuring that each student was understanding the material and performing at their best. His desire to see students succeed was apparent in his teaching style.
