Short Biography for Jeffrey HavilandProduction System Transformation LeaderJeff Haviland is the Boeing Production System manager at Boeing Fabrication Electrical Systems Responsibility Center within BCA. He started his manufacturing career as an industrial engineer at the Boeing Company in 1988. Over the past 33 years Jeff has held positions as Sr. industrial engineer, Sr. lean practitioner, business operations manager, program manager, internal lean consultant, contract lean consultant and continuous improvement practitioner and manager within aerospace, engineering, finance, sheet metal, machine parts, telecommunication, computer hardware and pleasure boat industries. For the past 24 years Jeff has been developing and implementing continuous improvement systems and programs in knowledge work environments and the factory floor. Jeff received his Lean training with Boeing, Shingijutsu Company Ltd, Shingo Institute, Smart Works Company, and the University of Michigan Lean Program plus Six Sigma Greenbelt training through Brunswick (Air Academy). He is a certified Kaizen event leader, Lean trainer and Job Instruction Master Trainer. He received his B.S. in Industrial Technology at Montana State University and certificates in applied economics and management from the University of Washington.Jeff has an extensive background in applying lean principles to improve production systems, develop culture change models, for both knowledge work and manual processes. Has experience with materials management, distribution, business strategy, measurement, management, project management, coaching and consulting across all levels of leadership.
