Director
• Develop and administer programs under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) including program creation and implementation, program improvement, compliance monitoring, and policy development for Adult, Dislocated Worker and Youth• Administer Trade Act program services in coordination with the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity• Prepare and administer operating budget including analysis and evaluation of existing programs. • Establish workforce development priorities, goals, and objectives and ensure achievement of those goals which includes; hire/fire/promote staff; supervise performance and conduct evaluations; coordinate staff training and development• Ensure compliance with WIOA through timely responses to Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity and all other state and federal requirements• Utilize the ideas, expertise, and resources of the workforce partners to enhance the effectiveness of the local area’s workforce development system• Worked with the community, public and non-profit organizations, and all levels of government to integrate WIOA services to align an efficient workforce system• Collect, analyze and report out on program performance• Provided oversight to One-stop-Operations Center staff to deliver a seamless and integrated system• Provided oversight and management to all workforce grant programs at the college including the Refugee and immigrant services, citizenship and special grants
