Sr. Facility/Technical Manager for a packaging company. Facility was built for lights-out manufacturing, integrated with the customer within their building.Directed the Technical Staff, which included Molding Process Engineering, Automation Engineering, Maintenance, Tooling and EH&S.Provided direction as Program Manager for Mold, Assembly Automation, Molding Machines, manufacturing processes and Utility systems. Led new product introduction, process validations and equipment calibration system.• Outfitted molding machines and molds with additional instrumentation. We track plastic temperature within the mold cavities as well as the mold steel temperatures, water flow through circuits and cavity pressure, both EOF and PG. All are tracked via RJG and critical variables are monitored to 6 ∑ (Sigma).• Set up and managed the MP2 CMM Database. Used as a vehicle to institute a TPM Autonomous Maintenance System, where the hourly provide a majority of the labor for the PM Tasks. System collects data from >900 installed analog devices to track predictive maintenance (PdM) trends. Utilizing annual IR testing for all electrical systems, ultrasonic testing for LPCA leaks.• Implemented MP2 system at the Hanover Park location. Have reduced incidents of unscheduled maintenance from a quarterly high of 67% of all maintenance work to 20%. Completed by instituting the Reason For Outage (RFO) database to assign outage codes to all unscheduled maintenance and providing actionable data for root cause analysis. Also provided a team to find the root cause of the inability of the (3) Chili line automation systems to produce the required demand. Within 2 weeks, we had the lines increase production from 67k units/day to over 90k units/day by identifying process control issues, lack of maintenance tasks and instilling the discipline to not make process control changes without understanding the root cause of the issue.

Technical/Facility Manager, directed a department of 24 personnel, including 6 Process Engineers, one Tooling Engineer and a Supervisor in a start up facility, in a UAW shop. As the Manufacturing Manager, directed a workforce of 230 personnel. At the outset, managed the process construction and installation of a brand new 189,000 sq ft injection molding facility.
