- Primary SQL Server DBA for the Corporate Intelligence team, which provides data and reporting to multiple internal departments- Monitor daily ETL, processing, and report generation, resolving issues or coordinating resolution to ensure accurate and timely reporting- Security, job scheduling, create and deploy SSIS packages, project work

- Primary daytime on-call contact, identify/troubleshoot/communicate and resolve issues using both custom and commercial monitoring tools, manage work requests and incidents- Assist with installing, configuring, and decommissioning database servers- Participate in disaster recovery reviews and failover implementation- Review, update and create documentation of processes and procedures

- Microsoft SQL Server- Work with development and application teams, server admins, vendors (or documentation) from architecture and capacity planning stages through the end of the life cycle, and then migration to new servers- Full range of database support including installation, configuration, monitoring, maintenance,backup/recovery- Restore/refresh databases as needed for users, assist with application upgrades/troubleshooting, provide application teams with information for tuning, maintain security, disaster recovery exercise- Assist storage/backup team with daily Commvault administration- Learned the Commvault product, developed a backup strategy and schedules, and coordinated with multiple teams to migrate all SQL backups off of TSM and onto Commvault- Learned SCOM, tested, implemented monitoring of the majority of SQL servers, createdthresholds/alerts, and determined which monitors to use
