Edited articles for several graduate students each quarter for our publication. Topics included insights into housing markets as well as quarterly reporting on residential, office, retail, and industrial market segments.

Researched how local and state governments regulated rental housing markets in the Western United States, with a focus on rent control and tenant screening processes. Studied the impact of sloped land on the costs of residential construction in the Portland area to help determine urban growth boundaries.

Underwrote investments in Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), and wrote and presented investment memos for committee approval. Examined syndicator partners' models to ensure accuracy of our projections. Evaluated the creditworthiness of developers, guarantors, and general partners by reading their financial statements and REO schedules. Monitored due diligence from business partners; created GIS maps using Esri ArcMap; and worked in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, and Adobe. Researched housing, employment, and population data by pulling and reading reports from demographics consultants, Costar, Reis, and the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Created and managed bus routes for students with special needs and students in selective enrollment schools. Analyzed on-time performance data as well as feedback from schools, bus companies, and parents to adjust the routes. Worked extensively with Edulog routing software, IMPACT student management system, Zonar GPS, and Excel.

Wrote fair lending reports for our clients by researching Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) allocations in various states. Measured the performance of agencies funded by the Illinois Attorney General, and monitored the efficient use of funds.

Coordinated field work for interns and evaluated the structural integrity of culverts in the Village of North Barrington. Created reports for GIS, environmental, and engineering consultants on behalf of the Village President.

Led tutoring and mentoring sessions for small focus groups of students, conducted individual tutoring sessions, and gave whole-classroom support in a high school history class. Collected and entered comprehensive student performance data.
