Information Technology••Roles and Responsibilities:Responsible for the execution of the technology vision as developed by the Director of IT and the IT Steering Committee. The primary concern was the security and stability of the Infrastructure while ensuring that sound technical decision were made for the company with the overall assurance that the corporate systems were functional, and meeting published Service Level Agreements.••Essential Functions: •Responsible for the Architecture/Engineering of the IT Infrastructure, often in conjunction with external vendors.•Responsible for the Host Systems configuration, security, capacity planning, and quality assurance functions•Authourized new systems or changes to existing systems•Responsible for Enterprise Systems Management (WAN connectivity, Routers, Firewalls, secure Remote Access,SAN, vSphere Hosts,Windows Servers/Domain, Exchange, Sharepoint, Aitivirus, DNS/DHCP•Support User Laptop/desktop environment in multiple offices and remote workers.

Roles and Responsibilities:Responsible for the 7/24 operation of a multiple AS/400, Client/server Computer Room using proactive methods to ensure that all production Service Level Agreement’s are met. I managed a team of 20 I.T. staff.••Essential Functions: •Administrative functions (payroll, vacations, shift scheduling).•Staff training and coaching, performance appraisals, and interviewing for new hires. •All hardware and software maintenance, backup and recovery, upgrades and purchases for the midrange-computing (AS/400) operations.•Maintenance and troubleshooting of our NT 4.0 servers.•Configuration and installation (GHOST) of Windows NT/98 on all desktop and laptop computers.• As the “Canadian Change Co-ordinator”, I was responsible for approving all changes that affected Venator’s Canadian I.T. operation. This focused on efficiency/productivity improvement while maintaining a focus on cost savings. This would include hardware and software installs with an aggressive return on investment••As a member of an I.T. team, I was also involved in many projects. •These projects included: •Replacing legacy systems with a full ERP solution including Merchandising, Planning/Allocation, Financials, and POS.•Migration of 500 PC’s to WinNT 4.0. •Installation of a new Warehouse Management System (PkMS) in 1998.

Supervised a team of six Operators in an IBM 3090 mainframe environment. •Used extensive mainframe applications (MVS, JCL, CA-1, CA-7, CA-11, CA-Dispatch, OPS/MVS, Omegamon, and Infoman) on a daily basis to execute batch applications as well as “fix” job abends•Perform job restarts in order to complete production batch schedules and print the 2 million monthly impressions. •Focused on internal customers to complete report output prior to the financial and distribution deadlines.
