I stayed on as a contractor while working full-time at Rippling. Coaching authentic storytelling, confidence building, and negotiating best practices. My specific focus was helping folks land jobs in Sales, Account Management, and Customer Success. Still craving an early-stage endeavor, I spent the height of the pandemic building a seed-stage start-up with an altruistic mission: helping people land jobs through software and coaching.It was one of the most challenging experiences I've had; we pivoted fast and often to find product-market fit. My role spanned B2B Sales, SaaS Customer Success, and eventually B2C career coaching. I never thought I'd call myself a "Job Search Coach," but I ended up helping over 100 people find a job (two clients even came over to my next job at Rippling!).While we didn't have the Silicon Valley exit story I dreamt of, it was unquestionably the most rewarding experience of my career and strengthened my ability as a listener, manager, and coach.

I had an opportunity to lead West Coast Customer Success (Channel Sales/Commercials) and Account Management (Delivery) in the ad-tech space at a Series B start-up. Cuebiq strengthened my ability to navigate longer cycle negotiations, forecast revenue, and close win-win channel sales contracts.

Moved from Boston to SF to work on high-growth tech startups and joined a recently funded Series A company. I blended my experience in analytics with direct client partnership experience. Samba provided the opportunity to grow at a rate few other jobs could. We scaled 4x and I held 3 different roles as we matured into a later-stage startup. As an IC, I learned how to be consultative with partners, drive upsell/expansion, and finalize renewals with key enterprise clients. Then, became a manager, albeit, an admittedly green first-time manager (sorry those of you who first had to be under my guidance!). Fast forward two years, and I decided to venture even closer to pre-sales by hitting the road with AEs and helping scope/close new business.

My first avenue into tech and the job world post-academia. I joined a small Boston-based consultancy to hone my craft in statistics and learn how to present actionable insights to enterprise tech clients. I learned about myself in my first post-academia gig: writing syntax didn’t motivate me and I thoroughly enjoyed building partnerships with our clients.
