As an Army Officer, I had to be prepared to take on any role even if I was not trained for it. This made me a stronger and more agile professional.I view leadership as the path forward rather than complimentary to any business. Leadership can make a huge difference to a company’s bottom line. Lead people effectively, develop them accordingly, and simply care for/about them and watch an organization grow, not only in profit, but culture. If we do not place leadership at the forefront in what we do, then our people suffer (and so do profits). People are the heartbeat of any business. I understand that hard metrics drive business decisions, but the more flexible and authentic leaders are, the better the outcome of success.
