I've been a director and company owner of BPS since 1997. I was fortunate to start out on a great note, as I was offered to direct and produce segments of "Sundance Dailies"​ for Robert Redford’s Sundance Channel. It was a half hour program highlighting the best from the Sundance Film Festival. The show aired on both Sundance Channel and Showtime. I continued my working relationship with the Sundance Channel by creating, "The Shorts Show with Laura Dern"​. I produced and directed a series pilot focusing on the craft of short filmmaking, which was hosted by my friend, Academy Award nominee Laura Dern.I entered the world of filmmaking with my short film, The Last Real Cowboys, starring Academy Award winner Billy Bob Thornton and legendary actor Mickey Jones. The excitement of making that awesome little film will be with me for life. It was such fun to work with everyone involved, including my buddy for more than 30 years, Billy Bob. He is one true blue guy. Another close buddy, for about 20 years, Rudy Gaines, wrote the screenplay. What a blast to work with my close friends. I opened my own company, Big Picture Studios, in 1997 and have had a great ride ever since, directing and overseeing hundreds of quality projects. I’m a dyed in the wool creative guy and can't wait for the next cool project to immerse myself into.
