By temperament (and perhaps generation), I'm a sharer — of thoughts, feelings, expertise, ideas, philosophies, business practices, and passions. My life is full of examples, but to share (you see?) just a few:• I translated a decade's worth of experience and the knowledge I gained while working for Marriott into a tremendously successful design and consulting business, through which I have shared my audiovisual expertise and my philosophy of how both the team and the technology best serve our clients.• I shared conversations and my curiosity with people who are sharers in their own right, and together we formed IdeaWorkX, a company that allows us to invent and innovate, and then share what we create with the world around us. And I love mentoring new inventors, too!• Over the years, as I have spun off thoughts and ideas — and a not insignificant number of businesses from those thoughts and ideas — I have shared many lessons learned with partners, industry peers, and colleagues through countless articles written, speeches given, business strategies outlined, and individuals coached or mentored.• I have shared more personally, as well. My enthusiasm for boating led to my helping develop a company that designs and makes affordable, bespoke, live-aboard trawler yachts. And my penchant for making pepper relishes has me continually sharing the fruits, if you will, of that labor.As I begin a new period of transition, where I expect to move out of some of my existing roles and responsibilities and into new ones, there's more sharing on the horizon. I'm especially focused on employee ownership of some of the companies I've built.
