I have been working for Origin Energy since February 2017. Initially as a Tenures Officer and then in the role of GIS Operator.I have:- Extracted and built spatial objects for import into our Tenure Management System (TMS), Landfolio.- Promoted integration of Landfolio data within Origin business systems and completed duties as a data steward in support of the location subject area, more particularly the asset area facet within Master Data Management (MDM), Profisee.- Prepared many hard copy pdf maps and derived spatial data sets in support of submissions to the Queensland State Government, more specifically:o Expression of Interest (EOI) tenure areaso Tenure applications (Petroleum Leases, Pipelines, Potential Commercial Areas, and tenders for Authority to Prospect areas)o Overlapping coal negotiations and Mineral and Energy Resources (Common Provisions) Act 2014 (MERCPA) compliance provisionso Initial and later development plans and work programs (Characterisation maps including Depth to Coal, Gas Content, Saturation, Permeability, Reserves)o Cultural Heritage and Native Title analysis (excluded native title land layer)- Completed analysis and prepared hard copy maps in support of referrals to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC).- Completed several rounds of spatial data extraction and analysis (spatial joins) in support of the timed development sequence package submitted to the Office of Groundwater Impact Assessment (OGIA), Underground Water Impact Report (UWIR)- Supported the GIS team in developing a method to revise disturbance footprint data using historical air photo and image interpretation and editing existing data layers within a pre-determined framework.- Supported the GIS team by editing and up-grading base road network data including running quality assurance processes and consulting with the team and wider business as required.Data analysis and mapping requires attention to detail, a spatial analysis capability and is easier and more relevant to the client where the objective is well understood.
