Project manager for the implementation of material handling equipment, control systems, and warehouse management system in BIC’s Charlotte Distribution Center (300,000 sq. ft.). The project scope was to manage all personal involved, the timeline and project milestones, issue resolution, perform a gap analysis on functionality, and design a system/process that meets the operational objectives. Successfully implemented the Manhattan Associates WM, Fortna material handling control system, RF, and Print-and-apply on all primary pick conveyor systems. The project increased our shipping capacity by 25%, improved operational efficiency by 15%, and improved inventory accuracy by 40%.Project manager for the conversion of BIC’s Charlotte Distribution Center from a third-party logistics company to BIC managed operation. This conversion was deemed necessary as we find ourselves in a more complex retail environment where supply chain and distribution efficiencies are critical to gaining the competitive edge in the marketplace. The efficiencies gained provided BIC with higher service levels, reduced inventories and lower customer return rates.
