Hi, I’m Jeff and I've been serving Lander County, Nevada as an Advanced EMT for a little over a year and a half. I am a highly skilled Advanced EMT with proven track record of accurately diagnosing, prioritizing and delivering prompt, accurate patient care in a rural 911 ambulance service and Emergency Department. Consistently lauded by EMS Directors and ER staff for exceptional IV/IO skills and the ability to deal with difficult patients and situations in the field and at the station. I love my job and have become known for developing innovative solutions to complex problems so our service can provide the best patient care in the field and ER. I have extensiveexperience assisting ER Doctors and Paramedics in BMGH ER with rapid sequenceintubations during Covid Delta wave. Solid track record of providing top-notch incident command, patient care, and safe scene management during some of the largest MCI's in Lander County's history, as well as during the smallest and most stressful resuscitation on a premature two-month-old patient.In my opinion, the best EMT’s and Health Care Providers are the ones who are both confident in their skills and yet humble enough to learn from anyone – no matter what their age or background or job title is. These are the providers who see patients suffering from addiction or mental illness and empathize with them and treat them like human beings and maybe even make a difference in their lives. They are humble and constantly improving their skills and their internal mantra is “There but for the grace of God go I”. They believe in the golden rule and that the greatest show of force is restraint, and they ferociously guard their integrity because they know that a lifetime of good deeds can be undone by a single act. I am not one of these providers yet but every day I get new opportunities to learn and grow towards my goal of becoming one.
