This is further refined by accounting for the fact that not all regions of the photodiode have equal probability of converting a photoelectron into a measureable signal. I am an associate member of the Technical Leadership Program and write a quarterly column for Aptina's internal newsletter. I believe in Feyman's dictum that unless you can explain something clearly to an intelligent non-specialist, you don't really understand it.I hold 11 US patents, several of which have also been converted into foreign patents, with several pending (and a few of these are real game-changers!).
