Jeff started his career consulting primarily on solid waste issues for several national environmental consulting firms before moving to what is now Republic Services for greater than 11 years. While with the Republic predecessor organizations, he initially served as an internal engineer, then subsequently managed a number of landfill and transfer station operations and a hauling company in the Dallas Fort Worth area. In 2005, he joined the North Texas Municipal Water District where in his current role he is the Assistant General Manager - Solid Waste & Integrated Services overseeing the District’s three transfer stations, one operating landfill, two closed landfills, and the District’s Fleet Management, Maintenance, IT, Safety and Risk Management, Environmental Monitoring, Laboratory, Pretreatment, and Regulatory Compliance departments. Jeff serves on the TCEQ’s Municipal Solid Waste Management and Resource Recovery Advisory Council where he currently serves as Vice President. He also is the Past President of the Board of Directors for the Texas chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North America (TXSWANA) and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Texas Water Conservation Association Risk Management Fund. Earlier in his career, he served as a Director and Vice President of SWANA’s Mid-Atlantic Chapter. He earned a Bachelor of Geo-Engineering degree from the University of Minnesota and is a licensed professional engineer in Texas and Pennsylvania as well as holds a TCEQ MSW Class A operator license.
