Jeff McCray is an executive with deep experience and success in manufacturing andoperations. In his current role as CEO of the Idaho State Tax Commission he isresponsible for the fair and efficient administration of over 6 billion in revenue thestate receives. He is the current Chairman of the Board of Commissioners with indirectresponsibility for over 450 families and 5 remote locations. As chairman he also hasquasi-judicial responsibilities for issuing decisions in taxpayer appeals. As Director ofOperations, he was responsible for 5 facilities at McCain Foods in Burley Idaho, aposition he has held since 2008. In this role, Jeff was responsible for 750+ families,with 14 direct reports, producing 1.2 billion pounds of finished product over 284 SKU’s.Mr. McCray has an extensive background in the agricultural, dairy processing, and food manufacturing industries. His expertise is in plant operations (including capital management and P&L), lean manufacturing, quality assurance, employee, and product safety programs. Examples of the impact Mr. McCray has had include: Created a by-product market to increase the value from $300,000 to an excess of $1.5 million. Improved unit cost year over year an average of $2.2 million dollars each year. Improved TIR from over 7.0 to a 3 year average of less than 1.0 and an OSHA 300A log for 2015 of zero. Led the creation of the nation’s first school to Registered Apprenticeship Machine Operators program in the nationMr. McCray believes in servant leadership. He serves on the Idaho Chooses Life Board of directors on the Idaho Workforce Development council as an Executive Board member, the Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry as Chair Elect, is the CFO for his church corporation, serves as an elder and board member for the Springs Calvary Chapel, serves as a committee member for the College of Southern Idaho Presidential search committee, and is a past member of the Burley Rotary club. Mr. McCray has been recognized by associations and peers for his contributions to his profession and community. Mr. McCray has been honored by NASWA as the national business of the year, by IACI with their prestigious STAR award, Mini-Cassia Chamber of commerce as Boss of the Year, and his factory was recognized for Making it in the Magic Valley for their community involvement.In addition to his operations experience, Jeff is President and Chairman of the Board of JAM Capital, a Limited Liability Corporation with investments and management of commercial and residential real estate.
