Heading strategic direction for Sports Marketing, I steer local assets for assigned categories, with oversight of a team of seven direct reports. I lead athlete relationships and negotiations on partnership agreements, facilitating all facets of relationships, with partners past and present including the Canadian Soccer Association, MLS, NHL, NBA, CFL and MLSE. I manage the Sports Marketing budgets and oversee relationships with over 80 athletes and all corporate sponsorships. To drive the business at retail, I influence the development and execution of consumer-facing initiatives and partner with key internal stakeholders. I structure and prepare budgets in support of department and corporate goals, and review and make recommendations on opportunities. I also represent the Canadian market on all Sports Marketing projects and initiatives at both the North American and Global levels.

Oversaw athlete relationships including agreement negotiations, activation implementation, and pro services, and ensured all NBA, MLS, CFL, COC contractual equipment and product commitments were met. Leading a team of five Brand Marketing Reps, I consulted on licensed product related issues to improve service to both club and retail. I secured team requirements related to activation and product knowledge needs via the Brand Marketing Rep team and partnered closely with adidas and Reebok Product and Marketing teams. Further, I managed Brand Reps on in-field scheduling and execution of initiatives including CrossFit events, CFL Grey Cup, and MLS Cup as well as in-store campaigns, training, and product knowledge sessions with key wholesale accounts. I also operated corporate events such as sales meetings, employee lunch and learns, and customer trade shows, and developed an annual budget including event marketing, travel, and all brand building investments.

With the goal of ensuring consistent brand messaging and facilitating in-store product knowledge, I managed, coached, and guided the Sport Rep team. I also enabled a consistent brand message in events and products through close collaboration with Global Communications and led all category specific events including managing budgets accordingly.
