Having returned to Vancouver after three years in the UK working for a large global broker I decided to join a private firm that would enable me to work for my clients as I saw fit. Having been responsible for Architects & Engineer's niche from Manitoba west for the first five years I travelled as required to the Okanagan, Calgary and Winnipeg working with our offices in each city. In early 2014, with Lawrence Bicknell joining BFL we launched our Professional Services Division. Working with Lawrence we are now ideally positioned to offer the design and other professional communities with an enhanced service offering, our Professional Services Division team in Vancouver has over 60 years of combined experience servicing the needs of the engineering and architectural community. Many firms have already benefited from our reunited team (I worked with Lawrence from 1997-2002 before moving to the UK) and we have received very positive feedback. Our team is dedicated to supporting the design community and our efforts on behalf of our clients will help ensure that BFL is recognized as an industry leader for many years to come.

Took advantage of the opportunity to move to JLT's Head Office in London, England for three years. While there I worked as part of the Construction Team focusing primarily on Design/Build Contractors providing them with broking and risk management services. It was a fantastic learning experience which provided me with a strong understanding of how the Lloyd's market works which I have used extensively since my return. I also brought back the best souvenir ever, my amazing wife Kelly.

Focused 100% on Architects and Engineers clients and managed in excess of 350 clients. Assisting them with all of their professional and general liability insurance and risk management needs. Clients included sole proprietors up to 50+ person firms. Regularly provided contract review services and assisted clients in their negotiations and discussions with their clients and cities/municipalities on insurance related issues.
