The effort addressed all aspects of strategic supplier development including goal setting, measurement, recognition, and continuous joint process improvement. A specific focus was placed on automation and technology to assure efficient and sustainable operation of the overall system.Sold and managed a spend analysis for a Fortune 50 manufacturer of health and personal care products. The engagement was specific to professional services and reviewed over $2BB in management, IT, and specialized service consulting. Key to the approach was using advanced screens and filters through SQL to draw out work content information from free-form text fields extracted from the ecommerce database.Reengineered all supply chain processes for a fast growing specialty consumer products manufacturer. Project was designed to help the client scale quickly to meet demand while maintaining their agility and culture. Processes addressed included sourcing, inventory management, order entry, and fulfillment.Provided negotiations and sourcing training for a global manufacturing and distribution conglomerate.Led O2C/RMA reengineering effort for global consumer electronics client, covering all transactions between client/customer plus logistics, import/export & inventory optimization. Effort looked at all indirect material and service purchasing (approximately $8BB) and ran concurrently in the US, Europe and Asia.Played lead role in selling and managing a large procurement transformation program for Fortune 100 oil & gas company. Program included strategic sourcing, redesigned procurement organization/processes/systems and a heavy emphasis on effective supplier management to sustain results. Effort also included end-to-end redesign of buying processes for downstream units to reduce the cost per transaction from ~$125 to <$50 and decrease purchasing lead-times.Managed strategic sourcing/supply-chain integration engagement for Fortune 100 transportation company. Included aluminum, steel and titanium alloys in sheet, bar, forging, casting, and other forms. Resulted in an overall cost reduction of 9 percent, along with improved ordering and delivery processes.Designed and implemented manufacturing facility for an international aircraft manufacturer, focusing on metal finishing processes and subassembly operations. Lived in Italy for 5+ years for hands-on, shop floor implementation of designs and recommendations. Learned to speak and write Italian in order to satisfy client request for project personnel.Developed a comprehensive cost model and analysis tool for a DoD contractor pursuing a significant contract associated with the Strategic Defense Initiative. Effort focused on economic analysis of virtually every space system and/or satellite ever built/deployed, along with technology path advancements (e.g., EHF communications, focal plane arrays, energy generation/storage, etc.) to estimate first unit and life-cycle cost for entire program.Performed a feasibility study for a space agency to determine if the space shuttle could be sold to a commercial operator. Engagement included a detailed operation’s accounting as well as revenue side projections based on the current slate of launches/payloads and elasticity on launch fees. Findings concluded no commercial operator would be willing to undertake the commercial or operational risk based on the margins available from operations – the space shuttle is an extraordinarily inefficient way to launch a satellite.Recipient of Booz Allen's "Professional Excellence Award" (highest service award).

Reengineered key business process (e.g. policy issue, underwriting, policy administration) to take advantage of microcomputers. Existing mainframe, batch processes were terribly inefficient, slow, and error prone. By moving to real-time entry and processing, policy issue times were cut by 80% and costs were reduced by over 50% – as an example.Responsible for designing and implementing measurement and tracking system to determine quantitative improvements and provide performance-based pay incentives to employees.
