I led development effort on the all electronic toll road system for a new PA Turnpike interchange exit 320. My responsibilities were integrating subsystems together to classify vehicle information for toll collection and violations processing on the EZ-pass toll lanes. I gained experience in digital image processing, image exposure, illumination of plates in varying light conditions, vehicle weighing, tag read processing and collection and processing of data.

Development Engineer in RF Connector Products. My primary area of expertise in SMA and microwave connectors for high precision applications. Experience in signal integrity design of high speed and high frequency RF applications in connectors and interconnect products. I have worked on several key OEM projects with key customers as well as product family platforming for cost reduction and improved time to market. Developed the KOXXA SMA series using materials and processes which were unconventional for the SMA series but reduced manufacturing costs while meeting design objectives.

RF Oscillators and Timing Modules - 1997 to 2007 - Completed my BSEE while working fulltime. - Re-designed the Eurocase OCXO platform products to a common platform approach. This led to a lower cost design and increased flexibility for other configurations. - Assisted in development of an MEMS based active compensated low-G sens OCXO for military application in an aircraft environment. - Re-designed legacy Piezo oscillator platforms for cost reduced manufacturing. - Assisted heavily during the Vectron acquisition in which an entire product family from a sister facility was incorporated into the Mt Holly facility, requiring re-qualification and re- design of many products. - Designed a 100MHz Stratum III DOCXO as a saleable oscillator in a 3 month period for completion of my Senior Project for Penn State. My short time at ES&D was spent as a CAM engineer performing design rule checks on Gerber files to prepare the artwork for PCB manufacturing. I worked all facets of PCB manufacturing from CAM to plating to multi-layer.

My experience at Oven Ind included testing, troubleshooting and some design of AC industrial proportional temperature controls, ranging from single point controllers to microprocessor based controls. Voltage ranges from 120VAC to 440VAC both 60Hz domestic and 400Hz aircraft and shipboard controls. Medical devices ranging from nebulizer and incubator heaters to lab heaters and dental instruments.

At Flight Systems I worked as a troubleshoot technician on motor speed controls for forklifts and electric vehicles. The majority of the motor speed controllers were SCR based with some legacy rebuilds on BJT based arrays and drivers.
