In this role, I directed 12 visual journalists and designated daily assignments including staff scheduling, travel arrangements and equipment needs to ensure adequate and effective coverage for a variety of stories including breaking news, sporting events and community activities on a 24/7 cycle. I managed a $1.2M budget including staff and camera equipment purchases while serving as a taste and copyright issues expert to relate stories following company guidelines.• Coordinated 47 affiliates and 2 companies by arranging coverage of major news stories, catastrophic weather developments and collegiate and olympic sporting events working with the NCAA, Nebraska School Activities Association, USA Swimming and University of Nebraska to ensure accuracy and maximize deliverables.• Oversaw startup of "The Bottom Line"; a four hour, five day a week sports talk show by building the studio within OWH newsroom, purchasing needed equipment, generating advertising sales, and contracting with affiliate television and radio stations for show distribution. In 2018, the show had 750,000 podcast downloads and 1.2 million video replays.• Directed publishing for OWH's first book, "Rosenblatt Stadium, Omaha's Diamond on the Hill" by managing the publishing back out schedule, editing photos, and coordinating all pre-press work prior to publishing date in 2010.• Collaborated with IT, advertising and circulation to ensure consistent messaging and to reach company standards and goals.• Developed and designed the Big Red Today Breakfast including speaker and site selection, coordinating security and managing audio for 300+ guests weekly during football season.• Coordinated coverage for major breaking news events including hurricane Harvey, the Pilger tornados and flooding in Nebraska and Iowa in the spring of 2019.

I captured images and reported domestic and international assignments including spotnews, political campaigns, statewide interest news, Division 1 sports and national championships. In addition, I covered military assignments in Europe, the war in Bosnia, and was embedded with the military in Iraq.

I photographed assignments throughout the Midwest including spot news, state high school sports tournaments, the College World Series, presidential visits and state legislative coverage.
