At that time, is was a privately owned company called Optical Filter Corporation - DT Division. Over time, I found myself more focused on the commercial side in what initially was a relatively small optical mold insert product line. This demanding line provided high phosphorous nickel plated optical quality molds for all types of injection molded plastic lens applications with aggressive delivery requirements. As this product line grew substantially over several years, I assumed responsibility for managing all aspects from new customer opportunities to on-time deliveries.

Methods EngineerKingsbury Machine Tool 1985 - 1990After graduating with BSME, accepted an opportunity for hands on manufacturing experience for an entire year in a diverse manufacturing shop. Company was an anomaly with its in house manufacturing capabilities. Was able to spend extensive time from raw stock, welding, CNC lathe, heat treatment, OD grinding, milling, jig grinding, gear shaping, inspection. . . Kingsbury Machine Tool was known for making nearly all components for their end product (large machine tools) in house with few exceptions. The well rounded manufacturing knowledge I gained during my time at Kingsbury was unique.
