Responsible for providing Business Leaders for $1.5 billion Nylon business with analytical assistance in developing strategy and tactics. Responsible for coordinating plant cost reviews, forecasts, budgets and analysis for five operating locations. Provided analysis for restructuring options including possible business sale and joint venture. Determined the variable cost of the major product lines by identifying their actual cost through all five production sites. Developed cost overhang analysis of shutting down the acrylic fiber business which was eventually closed.
Responsible for daily cash management including $400M commercial paper and bank line borrowing, cash investing and currency hedges. Created and provided monthly cash forecasting plan to the CEO, CFO and Treasurer. Liaison between the Pension Committee and the Pension and 401(k) Managers for the company’s $2 billion+ Pension and 401(k) Trusts. Lead Analyst on $223M long-term bond offering and $109M Convertible Bond offering. Helped create analysis for credit revolver renewals, rating agency presentations and ESOP renewal.
