I have always counted the opportunity to grow people, places and things as not only a privilege, but as a responsibility, as well. For in many ways, each of us lives in a "world" we deserve...the everyday people, places and things we take the time to inspire, involve, improve and create..."unselfed" leadership, some say.Bringing people together...being surrounded by folk who can "see" what others have not yet imagined...people who can transform a collective vision into a contributing reality...that's my kind of high.The better part of my life has been driven by this passion and practiced from many a speaker's platform and pulpit....from a writer's desk, the front of a classroom, in a Mayor's chair, as an employee, and as a business owner....sharing the successes, questioning my motives and patching the potholes along the way. For life is much more than simply chasing leprechauns.Making a difference, growing people, places and things for the benefit of more than oneself is a position of privilege; from which there should be no retirement...and Lord willing, I have no intention of doing so; for as I see it, there are still a few "differences" out there that need to be made.I count the following as "Growth Experiences" in my life:
