While working for PCL I have worked as a Project Manager on 4 projects with a value over $90M. My current project is the MSP Airport Parking Ramp valued at over $230M. During this time my project experience has included hotels, educational facilities, medical facilities, light rail, exercise facilities, and now a 5,000 stall parking ramp and rental car center. These projects have been precast concrete, cast-in-place concrete and steel structures and have included remodels, additions and new construction. As a project manager on these projects, we have built commercial kitchens, pools, elevators, escalators, deep excavations, bowling alley, time-share condominiums, restaurants, a spa, parking garages, dorm rooms, rail car maintenance equipment, fireplaces, fume hoods, etc. Over my career with PCL I have been a project manager on nearly $600M of work.

As a project manager with RA Nelson, I worked on the preconstruction and planning for an $80M, topside addition to an existing three story condominium complex and oversaw the construction of 24 luxury condominiums ($40M) in Vail, CO. The luxury condominium project was built on a tight sight with condos on either side, a river and nature path behind and CDOT frontage road as our only access on the front. The excavation for the parking garage was 3 stories deep and required extensive shoring utilizing a series of large concrete caissons and a shotcreted wall.

Owner and President of a construction company building mostly custom homes, apartments and condominiums, with some light commercial work. After a 2005 volume of work nearing $5M, I came face to face with "the Great Recession" and decided to find work where someone else had to worry about insurance, payroll and taxes! It was a short, fun and expensive education that I will never forget and hope to never repeat.

As a Project Engineer I relocated to a town near Vail, CO to work on the Ritz-Carlton at Bachelor's Gulch, Avon, CO. My primary responsibility was to oversee all scopes of work from Divisions 12-16. This was a fantastic experience for a fairly new project engineer to help manage two commercial kitchens, over 100 fireplace installations (including 3 custom gas log sets and 1 large wood burning), 11 pools/hot tubs, 7 elevators, a spa, and all fire sprinkler, mechanical and electrical systems (including fire alarm, smoke control, exterior deluge, low voltage and kitchen equipment). All of this with a demanding client, at the base of a ski lift, difficult access and site logistics and 2+ hours from any major metropolitan area. The learning curve was steep, but the experience and education was invaluable!

Beneco was a government contractor and gave me my first experience as a scheduler. As a fairly recent graduate, they trusted me with the responsibility for all estimating and scheduling for the $200M+ company. I created and managed schedules for projects throughout the United States, including in Nevada, Texas, Washington, Maine, Massachusetts, Virginia, Georgia, Maryland and North Carolina.
