I worked in a team of 5 engineers to design a mechanical system that could be fitted onto a DSLR camera in order to provide automated follow focus functionality. The design was modeled using solidworks and the controls system was implemented using an arduino microcontroller and labview.
At the Taylor Collaboration I worked on projects to help design and construct test fixtures for biomechanical tests. I utilized Solidworks to design a test fixture that could be used to hold a cadaver cervical spine specimen in flexion or extension so that the specimen could be x-rayed by a 3D x-ray machine. Main skills included CAD design with SolidWorks.
I collaborated within a group of 3 engineers, using Pro Engineer, to model all the parts of UC Berkeley’s innovative “Austin Exoskeleton.” We then used the modeled parts to create an animation in 3ds Max that showed both the assembly and the function of the exoskeleton for educational purposes.
