Hi-Tech Products is a global converter and contract manufacturer specializing in custom converting and die cutting, laminating, printing, assembly, slitting for the medical, electrical, aerospace and automotive industries. We have been in the business of precision rotary die cutting, design prototyping and manufacturing for nearly forty years. Quality comes first at Hi-Tech. We are known as “the engineer’s die cutter”. We operate Servo rotary die cutting presses, some of the most sophisticated die cutting technology in the world. After taking over the helm of the company from my father in 1996, I invested in technology, people and processes that would position the company competitively in the 21st century. Today OEMs require more collaborative R&D partnerships in the prototyping and assembly of highly complex designs. They also need a partner to assist them in cost-control measures including materials sourcing, rapped prototyping, JIT production, etc.Positioning ourselves to answer these needs required a change in our structure. We are now three vertically integrated companies. In 2006 I founded a Maquiladora in TJ, Mexico. This facility does labor intensive converting processing, assembling and packaging of medical devices in a class 100,000 certified clean room. In addition, we are ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 certified and FDA registered. This allows us to assemble complex components and devices at a much lower price point. In 2006 I also founded our third company, Amparo Medical Technology, a custom designer and manufacturer of superior quality medical hydrocolloids. The synergy resulting from our capacity to manufacture as well as execute highly complex designs affords us a true competitive advantage in the medical device and disposables market.
