Led a multi-service team of 180 in-theater Personnel-Recovery (PR) specialists. Supervised 2 Non-Commissioned Officers responsible for managing individual survival plans and equipment for 1100 Horn of Africa deployed forces. Planned and executed live-fly personnel recovery exercises. Reports directly to the Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa Director of Operations.

Maintains close liaison with the Joint Headquarters North staff, adjacent component headquarters, subordinate formations and national authorities for air-related matters. Joint Warfare Centre focal point for International Assistance Force (ISAF) - Afghanistan Mission Rehearsal Training (MRT) planning, coordination, and scenario development. Oversees NATO exercise budget, security, logistics, and computer information systems.

Led one Officer, one Non-Commissioned Officer and two contractors in providing direct support to the Director of Aerospace Operations (DO) and his senior staff. Supervises preparation of weekly contingency operations and force deployment briefings to the Commander of Air Combat Command (ACC). Briefs the ACC Vice Commander and senior staff daily on status of ACC aircraft movements and bed down. Provides DO with critical recommendations directly impacting Air Force doctrine, strategy, force structure, war fighting, and modernization. Researches and prepares briefings, papers, and speeches articulating the DO's position on key national aerospace issues to the ACC Commander, Air Staff, national and foreign civilian, and military dignitaries.

Rated assignments manager for over 2,100 fighter pilots and weapon system officers assigned to 37 fighter squadrons and more than 50 detachments. Air Combat Command focal point and proponent in Air Force personnel actions relating to unit manning, Permanent Change of Station, and major weapon systems training and experience requirements. Executes and coordinates the Air Force Assignment System with commanders and Air Force Personnel Command to ensure officers under assignment consideration are fully recommended and qualified. Implements initial recommendation and provides supporting manning and experience data for all Air Combat Command rated Stop Loss waiver requests.

T-1A, T-39N/G Flight Examiner, responsible for leadership, supervision, and professional development of over 270 Naval, Marine, Air Force, and international students in the intermediated phase of Joint Navigator / Naval Flight Officer training. Holds dual-aircraft qualifications and serves as Mission Commander responsible for the safe conduct and completion of all training missions. Wing academic instructor for low-level and airway navigation, aircraft systems, flight preparation, and aircraft model differences. Supervises dual aircraft schedule, 4,500 flying hour program and 2,250 sorties. Schedules and tracks 100% of contract pilot currencies.

Directly supervises 10 combat-ready aircrew in Flight Commander's absence, responsible for their day-to-day scheduling, training, and professional development. A combat-ready Instructor Weapon Systems Officer (IWSO) certified to execute National Command Authority directed strike, conventional, and air superiority missions in the F-15E. Employs air-to-air missiles, nuclear, laser-guided, electro-optical, and conventional munitions world-wide. Additional duties include: Assistant Chief of Scheduling, Supervisor of Flying, Mission Commander, and F-15E Simulator Instructor.

Responsible for the development and supervision of wing flying training programs. Ensures the 48th Fighter Wing aircrew maximize combat readiness through effective accomplishment of semi-annual training. Supervises two enlisted and one civilian personnel in the Flight Records element. Develops, maintains, and tracks all training syllabi, phase briefs, and requirements to ensure standardization throughout the wing.

Maintains mission ready combat capability and quick reaction deployment posture as an F-15E Weapon Systems Officer. Employs and instructs the Low Altitude Navigation and Targeting Infrared for Night (LANTIRN) equipped F-15E. As Life Support Officer, supervises 7 enlisted personnel who ensure compliance with life support technical orders, and administers life support training to include egress systems and survival techniques.
