I oversaw the scope of work, team structure, and assigning of resources for six scrum teams consisting of 65 team members / contractors both on and off shore. Coordinated application selection, prioritization, and resource assignments for a 3 year, $6.5MM BI waterfall initiative. This initiative provides critical insights into Target’s largest yearly expense of team member payroll. In addition, I partnered with Sr. Leadership to determine key performance measures for forecasting, scheduling, and tracking ~350,000 non-exempt team members. Led a scoping exercise for a project to efficiently eliminate 267 non-value add reports which reduced project scope by 76%. Responsible for leading meetings with subject matter experts and vendor partners to remediate/create datamart tables, semantic views, and MicroStrategy reports. Provide day-to-day work direction for multiple contractors, off-shore BA’s, and coaching for business resources new to Target and Business Intelligence. Successfully completed a complex HR project which resulted in a HR Operations Award of Recognition. Recognized by peers and business partners as an excellent coach and mentor for team members. -
Process Lead, Bi&ATarget Jun 2008 - Aug 2011Minneapolis, Mn, UsCoordinated effort to expand GeoSpatial capabilities from single department to the entire Target enterprise; resulting in a GeoSpatial application user increase from 30 to 500+ users. Also conceptualized and implemented a strategic GeoSpatial project resulting in $5M annual savings; project consisted of establishing charter, sourcing and evaluating vendors, vendor management, scope definition, maintaining schedule, budget maintenance, and utilizing resulting data to drive savings. Led Business Intelligence strategy development and execution from inception through launch for $20MM+, 3 year project; project goal was to re-invent the management of store and DC location lifecycle events. Project lead for Exterior Store Attributes Program for Property Development, which involved determining scope, schedule, team, and deliverables which resulted in $7M+ savings per year on landscape, parking lot, and snow removal maintenance contracts. Received Corporate National Sales Meeting award of recognition for my leadership on Targets PFresh program. Committee member for Target Golf Network where I have planned Target's annual golf tournament for past 4 years. -
Project Lead, Property Development Bi&ATarget Aug 2006 - Jun 2008Minneapolis, Mn, UsLed a department wide change management effort to reshape the BI intake priority to focus on business value and total cost of ownership/creation by changing intake forms, socializing changes, and leading prioritization meetings. Conceptualized and implemented, at the time, the largest MicroStrategy analytics project at Target driving an increased ability to manage $1.7B in annual spend; resulted in >$4MM annual savings due to cost avoidance insights gained from analytics.
