I led an Agile transformation and mindset growth in the Supply Chain business portfolio by being a servant leader to my team of Scrum Masters, peers and leaders. This transformation involved approximately 200 traditional project, process, and product teams. As part of this transformation I was responsible for the creation and implementation of the Agile OCM strategy and it's success. My Team and I designed, iterated, and executed quarterly planning across GSCL bringing 50-80 process, data, and technical product teams together to align and sequence deliverables, remove dependencies, and make informed trade-off decisions. These quarterly planning cycles drove ownership and deliverable accountability. Lastly, we helped teams deliver value sooner through iterating, testing, learning, and customer feedback, led by our coaching efforts.

I was an agile mindset leader on a team of 10 coaches transforming an IT organization of 3,000+ people and 260+ scrum/kanban teams in size. I coached both IT and business leaders to ensure an agile mindset and culture shift occurred across Target. I trained 90+ product teams and coached 30+ product teams, both in Minneapolis and Bangalore, in agile principles, mindset, and product thinking. I also helped these teams understand the differences between traditional SDLC and Agile and why we were switching methodologies. Lastly, I led an effort to create a comprehensive training plan and suite of training materials for scrum teams, kanban teams, and leaders.

I modified processes to transform the BI delivery model from a Waterfall methodology to an Agile methodology for ~1,600 BI&A team members and contractors. I led the Compensation Management and Talent Management capabilities of the HR BI portfolio, including the critical transition of legacy HR reporting towards new enterprise solutions. I oversaw the scope of work, team structure, and assigning of resources for six scrum teams consisting of 65 team members / contractors both on and off shore. Lastly, I am performed strategic management of a $6M budget for HRIS applications by partnering with senior leadership to determine business value, priorities, and trade-offs.

As a Certified Scrum Master I led a $2.1M agile project consisting of two teams which delivered data foundations, semantic views, and reporting analytics to HR leadership. The source applications for this project were PeopleSoft, Kronos, Taleo, SAP, and Hewitt. Teams delivered all required scope, plus 25% additional scope over original project plan, 15% under-budget. In addition to my scrum teams I was a scrum master coach for five agile teams. I also helped champion the conversion of our project management methodologies from Waterfall to Agile by showcasing value to business leaders, peers, and IT leadership. Lastly, I created the vision and set the strategy for HRIS BI project teams.

As a Sr Business Analyst I have defined a multi-department BI operating delivery model and obtained Sr. Executive support for this model. Coordinated application selection, prioritization, and resource assignments for a 3 year, $6.5MM BI waterfall initiative. This initiative provides critical insights into Target’s largest yearly expense of team member payroll. In addition, I partnered with Sr. Leadership to determine key performance measures for forecasting, scheduling, and tracking ~350,000 non-exempt team members. Led a scoping exercise for a project to efficiently eliminate 267 non-value add reports which reduced project scope by 76%. Responsible for leading meetings with subject matter experts and vendor partners to remediate/create datamart tables, semantic views, and MicroStrategy reports. Provide day-to-day work direction for multiple contractors, off-shore BA’s, and coaching for business resources new to Target and Business Intelligence. Successfully completed a complex HR project which resulted in a HR Operations Award of Recognition. Recognized by peers and business partners as an excellent coach and mentor for team members.

Coordinated effort to expand GeoSpatial capabilities from single department to the entire Target enterprise; resulting in a GeoSpatial application user increase from 30 to 500+ users. Also conceptualized and implemented a strategic GeoSpatial project resulting in $5M annual savings; project consisted of establishing charter, sourcing and evaluating vendors, vendor management, scope definition, maintaining schedule, budget maintenance, and utilizing resulting data to drive savings. Led Business Intelligence strategy development and execution from inception through launch for $20MM+, 3 year project; project goal was to re-invent the management of store and DC location lifecycle events. Project lead for Exterior Store Attributes Program for Property Development, which involved determining scope, schedule, team, and deliverables which resulted in $7M+ savings per year on landscape, parking lot, and snow removal maintenance contracts. Received Corporate National Sales Meeting award of recognition for my leadership on Targets PFresh program. Committee member for Target Golf Network where I have planned Target's annual golf tournament for past 4 years.

Led a department wide change management effort to reshape the BI intake priority to focus on business value and total cost of ownership/creation by changing intake forms, socializing changes, and leading prioritization meetings. Conceptualized and implemented, at the time, the largest MicroStrategy analytics project at Target driving an increased ability to manage $1.7B in annual spend; resulted in >$4MM annual savings due to cost avoidance insights gained from analytics. I managed multiple BI&A projects through project definition, requirements, build, test, and run state. Lastly I led a complex data migration from a business supported database to an IT supported data mart; results provide business unit access to enterprise data sets, new analytical capabilities, and department savings >$500k/year.
