    In this summer internship I was hired as the zoning inspector for the the city of Fargo. In this position I was responsible for ensuring all landscaping and signage had been completed correctly on new projects according to submitted plans. This include site visits, reading and comprehending plans, knowing zoning codes, and knowing Fargo ADA codes. In this position I:Participated in code discussions and metro area code official meetings at least once a week. Theses discussions were with the entire inspections department about violations or questions we were seeing in the field.Gained knowledge of ICC building codes and code enforcement through discussions and observation.Professionally corresponded with contractors and homeowners to resolve problems with their construction projects. This included meeting with them on site, in the offices, or through the mail.Independently managed sign and landscape enforcement including scheduling inspections, following up with owners, and helping solve problems with properties.As I finished my responsibilities early I successfully learned new tasks and expanded responsibilities in the department to include deck construction inspections and building inspection assistant.
