About Jeff Shafer

I have been in and around the construction and golf industry for 20 years. I started as a grounds crew member which peaked my interest in the golf industry and later found myself enrolled in The Ohio State University's Turfgrass Management program. I spent my time after college as a second assistant at a club in Ohio fine tuning my skills and construction methods. My wife and I ventured out into the landscape design and construction industry and purchased our own business. After a couple of years I found myself wanting to get back into the golf and construction industry and accepted a Superintendents postion at Landscapes Unlimited's Southwest Regional office. In 2008 I changed roles within the company to broaden my horizons and develop a better understanding of the business from paper to project serving as estimator for the region. In the spring of 2011 I rejoined the ranks of Superintendent, getting back out in the field and stirring up the dirt once again. Having developed a top to bottom understanding of the construction and development industry, my skills have become more well rounded am often percieved as a Swiss Army knife of sorts. Able to fit in in any situation from conception to construction I look to further my career within the landscape and construction industry.
