To further support WBD's mission to be “Your Business Finance Resource” for lenders, small businesses, and economic development organizations throughout the markets it serves, WBD has embarked on a new effort to significantly expand its Lender Training offerings, its outreach and involvement with Lender Services participants, and to engage and support Intermediary Lenders. These services and programs will be made available through WBD Service Company, LLC ("WBDSC"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of WBD, Inc. Lender Training initiatives will continue to reach WBD's traditional bank and credit union lending institutions, but will now be expanded to include local revolving loan funds, minority Chambers of Commerce, and SBA Community Advantage lenders. The desired outcomes of these training efforts will include raising awareness and understanding of SBA Loan Programs; providing best practices for managing an SBA loan portfolio; and helping lenders understand how to position their clients for an SBA credit solution.Lender Services is focused the delivery of SBA 7(a) lending services to institutions that have engaged in a formal Lender Services Provider agreement ("LSP") with WBDSC for SBA loan packaging; electronic submission assistance; pre-closing and/or post-closing loan assistance; and loan servicing support. Managing the expectations and experience of LSP clients is paramount.WBDSC will move to toward supporting the needs of Intermediary Lending organizations located in the markets it serves. Examples of Intermediary Lenders include local revolving loan funds, SBA Community Advantage lenders, minority Chambers of Commerce, and other economic development organizations. Services to Intermediary Lenders may include SBA and business credit training, back-office loan operations support, and loan and/or credit administration support.
