Advanced Manufacturing Instructor
CurrentIn a heartfelt pivot from corporate leadership, I embraced the opportunity to shape the future of manufacturing by teaching Advanced Manufacturing courses at Liberty Creek High School in Sumner County, Tennessee. This role is more than a job; it's a mission to ignite a passion for manufacturing and engineering among Career & Technical Education (CTE) students. My curriculum spans Introduction to Manufacturing & Mechatronics, Robotics & Automated Systems, and Dual Enrollment Mechatronics (TCAT). The curriculum is designed not only to impart technical knowledge but also to open students’ eyes to the rewarding career paths available in manufacturing. This initiative is driven by a deep-seated belief in the importance of preparing the next generation of skilled workers and providing them with a solid foundation to thrive in the manufacturing sector. By engaging directly with students and their parents, I aim to demystify post-secondary opportunities in manufacturing while showcasing viable paths to success that bypass the burdens of student loan debt. My commitment to this cause is about offering students tangible skills and employable credentials, ensuring they are well-equipped to step into the workforce as competent, innovative professionals ready to contribute to our industry's future.
