Sherman built an online community and online magazine from zero audience to more than 500,000+/monthly. With a focus of “making great media and moving Milwaukee forward,” his time at OnMilwaukee was about telling stories about his city, building relationships with clients and civic entities and growing collaborations around the region.Knowing that the greater Milwaukee area needed more vehicles to allow young professionals to network and grow, he helped start one of the most successful young professional groups in the country. His entire career with ad agencies, lobbying firms and promotional entities has been about building community.Through his digital and community platforms, Sherman grows Milwaukee, his hometown, through positive stories and relationships. His career began in the Milwaukee County Executive’s office, working for the David F. Schultz. He’s supported and guided recruitment and retention efforts with local businesses, business groups and chambers of commerce. Sherman also has worked on many signature civic projects including Miller Park, Wisconsin Center, The Hop streetcar and Fiserv Forum. His “Define Success” and “Milwaukee Talks” interviews, blog and podcasts have included conversations with notable guests like Kareem Abdul- Jabbar, Joe Sweeney, Kara Swisher and others.
