Lead Instructor/Team Lead for a multinational team located at the Kabul Military Training Center (KMTC), the central training facility for the Afghan Army. The team consisted of Afghan Army Officers, interpreters and U.S. personnel that trained senior officers from the Afghan Army in battle staff organizations and functions, military decision making (MDMP), Tactical Operation Center (TOC) operations, and other topics required for staff operations at the battalion and brigade level. Duties included coaching, teaching and mentoring in the techniques and processes used for conducting large scale combat operations. Deployed as part of a Mobile Training Team (MTT) to forward locations to train battalion and brigade level staffs that are part of the forward deployed Afghan Regional Corps. Techniques taught have been successfully used in combat operations by the Afghan Army.Deployed to Rwanda in late 2006 to train a Rwandan Army staff in MDMP as part of the Africa Contingency Operation Training and Assistance (ACOTA) mission conducted by the Department of State.

The Chicagoland Chapter provides professional development, education, mentoring, and other services to members in the Chicago area.

Operations Manager for a project team designed to provide commercialization, technology transfer, and small business assistance services to technology entrepreneurs and companies in the Chicago area and throughout Illinois. Responsible for the $3.8 million project budget. In conjunction with project team, designed and monitored construction of a $1.2 million state-of-the-art training, education and business assistance facility. The TRECC activities provided over twenty three million dollars in direct economic benefit to the Chicago area and the State of Illinois, and over one hundred and eight million dollars in potential future benefit.Brought into Battelle’s Army Market Sector to help expand their traditional areas of expertise from the chemical and biological arenas into the electronic and optical fields. Performed business development and commercialization activities across a wide spectrum of technologies and clients. Assessed clients’ technologies for development and commercialization potential. Developed program plans and generated proposals to assist clients in reaching their technology development goals. Managed ongoing projects. Departed the Army Market Sector to relocate to the new West Chicago office in order to provide people with experience in the Columbus headquarters, assist in startup of a new project, and to assist in establishing the new office.
