This role allowed me to connect to different types of people, from former hairdressers to doctors, and even entomologists (which are scientists that studies insects). Through coffee, I've been able to communicate with all these professionals , and from them I've learnt so much about different occupations, therefore broadening my vision.I've also learnt to manage time wisely, as this is a one man job I'll need to serve customers and prepare their drinks at the same time. This required me to have a keen eye for detail, especially when you're frothing the milk and making a nice piece of raisin toast at the same time!My job includes:• Preparing a wide variety of coffee to highest industry standards• Providing a high level service of food, beverage service with a prompt, professional and friendly manner• Maintaining the hygiene and stock of all kitchen and café area and ensure that they are clean and tidy at all times, which include cleaning and maintaining coffee machines, fridges and display cabinets.• Accepting and packing away deliveries of stock, stock rotation• Managing a till and float, setting up and serve coffees, breakfast and lunch.

This is a year long project where I worked in a team of 3 to create a business plan for a company (which cannot be named due to the confidential agreement). Our scope of work included:- Analyse company's business practices, prevalent market conditions for company and clients- Develop new business models for the company- Evaluate company’s competition and its competitors- Engage in research in regards to how the company can improve in its offers- Prepare recommendations based on research already carried out- Review and monitor strategies of the company regarding sales, advertising, marketing, and other related fields of businessUndertaking studies in a range of business subjects to enhance my science degree. Through this role I've developed a good eye for detail, as I've spotted a few lab rats which looked a bit unwell. This later turned out to be true, and if used for experimentation they would have affected the test results, and ultimately would affect the time and cost of the whole experimental process.My job include:• Perform daily checks and record health status and behaviour of animals, monitoring and maintaining their daily health.• Prepare food and water for laboratory animals, inspect and test animals for worm infestation and disease• Euthanise animals humanely (under supervision) and handle animals that have died• Assist in the selection and grading of animals for breeding programs• Work under supervision to establish and maintain breeding programs
