The key metrics being safety, waste, quality and production efficiency. The plant produces corrugated containers on several different varieties of equipment, from the corrugator to several specialty printers. The plant consisted of a 7 color Masterflex printer, a 5 color Cuir printer and several specialty gluers. It also had the only Asitrade, single face laminator, in the company along with several slotter gluers.Implemented team small group activities through OPX processes to drive all aspects of performance.Decreased waste by 2.5% from 2007 to 2008.Reduced returns and allowances from $120K in 2007 to $50K in 2008.Increased throughput by 15% from 2007 to 2008.Reduced emergency downtime 30% and increased planned maintenance to 70% of combined maintenance time availability.Produced high quality, high graphic products to many customers including Molson, Labatt, Effem, Bacardi and Anheiser-Busch.Corrugator produced both preprint and post print products.
