Provide geochemical expertise in various capacities to operational units. Write and review geochemical reports related to tailings and waste rock. Conduct research and monitoring programs to support Cameco’s corporate environmental vision.

Provided scientific expertise on synchrotron techniques as related to environmental applications. Managed, coordinated and scheduled beamtime, samples, permits, functional reports and other aspects of the industrial synchrotron solution chain. Developed new clients and new techniques relevant to the Environmental sector;

Conduct research on the speciation of solids relevant to the environmental remediation of various sites. Speciation and structural analysis of novel uranium and plutonium compounds. Investigation of Uranium sorption by Bacillus sphaericus using x-ray techniques. Analysis of vitrified nuclear waste glasses using X-ray absorption spectroscopy.

Working with PhD students - advanced surface analysis techniques were used to conduct various projects that focused on the immobilization of radionuclides in the Hanford vadose zone by incorporation in solid phases.
