I founded Paragon Furniture early in 1988 with my long-standing associate and skilled craftsman, Graham Matthews. Over the years it has gone from strength-to-strength, now employing a full team of highly talented individuals working with wood, metals and many other materials to create exquisitely beautiful furniture. I work with closely our clients to deliver their dream home, working with both customers in their homes and our specialist trade clients (such as interior designers, architects and top-end property developers). My expert knowledge of the materials we use allows me to advise you on the best woods, metals and finishes to give you the stunning, superb results you want! My extensive skills include: specialist veneering, inlaying in metal & wood (including brass, walnut etc.), parquetry, French polishing, dovetailing, wood carving and marquetry. As part of our bespoke services, a wide range of finishes are available. including polyester finishes, various paint affects and varnishes.

Worked within the team to restore beautiful and valuable antique furniture to its former glory. Additionally responsible for converting existing antiques for modern day living, for example, creating a TV cabinet from a 19th Century cabinet.

Initially, I started as an apprentice with Lucas Furniture, working up over six years to cabinet maker. Whilst with Luaus I completed my apprenticeship and attended the London College of Furniture. I obtained my LCG (Licentiateship of City & Guilds) in Advanced Level Cabinet making and Advanced Management Studies.Working alongside other artisans and tradesmen, I learned the skills of joinery, marquetry, wood carving, dovetailing, parquetry, inlaying with various metals and woods, plus a wide range of finishes.
