I perform finite element and stress analysis on parts and assemblies to ensure pressure vessels and other equipment operate within safe limits. Interaction with both customers and vendors is regularly required to complete projects. I regularly prepare cost estimates for future jobs.Our in-house manufacturing capabilities include CNC lathes, CNC 3-axis and 5-axis milling machines, waterjet, and precision welding. I design equipment and parts to utilize all of these technologies in the most cost-effective way possible. Worked with the Center for Integrated Manufacturing Studies to design and build mounting hardware for a data acquisition system used on a US Marine Corps Light Armored Vehicle. I designed the structure, produced CAD drawings, machined parts and worked with outside contractors to have parts manufactured.

I designed test fixtures and conducted a variety of material properties tests on copy machinecomponents. We obtained a patent for plasma deposited titanium coatings.

I programmed, set-up and operated CNC lathes and mills for a high precision manufacturer. I also used manual machining equipment to build one-off parts and build manufacturing fixtures.
