“If you can't describe what you are doing as a process, you don't know what you're doing.” This is a quote from W. Edwards Deming, the Father of Quality, and it accurately describes my career at Accenture.I spent the better part of my 30+ years with Accenture focused on bringing quality solutions to our clients. This started with “Testing”, but it evolved to a holistic approach to transformation of “Quality” with a capital “Q”. A colleague and I started Accenture Testing Services (now known as Accenture Quality Engineering Services, or AQES) in 2002 as a way to fill the white space in the market around Quality. Since then, AQES has grown into a $3B business within Accenture. AQES focuses on holistic Quality transformation through strategy, systems integration and outsourcing engagements. I retired from Accenture in December, 2022 and am focusing on advising companies on their Quality strategies.I am a frequent keynote speaker at industry events and ecosystem partner user conferences. I conceived and hosted the Accenture Testing Symposium for our clients for 11 straight years until it evolved into the Accenture Technology Symposium just prior to the pandemic.Separate from work, I have been privileged to follow my passions for philanthropy as Chairman of the Board for the Make-A-Wish Foundation (Indiana Chapter) while also serving on the Make-A-Wish Governing Board for Ohio/Kentucky/Indiana.
