I worked 16 years at Weather Engineers as a service tech. Started taking classes on my own then got a job at Weather Engineers through an apprenticeship program. They finished my classes and paid me while working and going to school until my classes were done, which took longer because I was limited to the number of classes I could take each semester. But was great because the classes were during the day and I went to school 3 days a week and got paid for it during slow seasons and worked the other 2 days and during busy seasons I worked 5 days a week with no school. They no longer offer that, if you do an apprenticeship you have to go at night after work on your own time.Started having knee problems, got burnt out on the job and did not want to work in the Florida heat anymore, so I sold my house and I quit. Got a cargo trailer and put in a solar system and made it a camper trailer. Took a year off to travel and see parts of America I never got to see before. Went to Yellowstone and the Redwood Forrest. Great way to travel across America on a budget. Came back to Florida and am currently working temp jobs but looking to get into office work due to my bad knees and back. Also, tired of working outside in the Florida heat. Took a course on Coursera for bookkeeping and started a course on IT. Would like a remote job I could do from anywhere while traveling, but happy to work and save up to take vacations and travel.
